ATRABILIS
I
a vessel pours out their heart
radiant liquid
screaming wind through the desert
solitude is found
of the soul reflected in
shapes of crystal glass
reborn in loops and cycles
how can one break free
Your face in old light
smiles from a summer long gone
the frame holds the cold
Leaves leave the oak tree
one by one, without a sound
winter takes the rest
Soft rain at midnight
the empty chair by the door
still waits in the dark
